Blackjack Strategy

Some Strategies in Blackjack

A Basic Blackjack Strategy is based on the mathematics that can be found in the game. It has been tested rigorously over time and developed further by computer simulations. When it is followed correctly by the player, it will reduce the casino edge greatly, which is just one-half of one percent.

Little adjustments are made like a simple technique on certain rule changes and variations that are imposed by different casinos. Like some casinos will allow their players to double after splitting or DOS and some casinos do not allow it. There are also some modifications that are made to this simple strategy for both the single and triple deck games.

If a player wants to be successful in playing Blackjack, he must learn the basics of the game. A lot of Blackjack players started learning the game by reviewing the basic strategy chart for Blackjack. The Blackjack Strategy Chart tells the player how to play the first two cards that will be dealt to him by the dealer. The casino gains their edge over the player because the player must act first during a game.

Since the basic blackjack strategy chart only deals with the first two cards that are given to the player during the beginning of the game, the player also needs to decide on what will be his actions after taking a hit. The best possible way to do this is to transform the basic blackjack strategy chart into a normal language that will be understandable and will best explain how to play if you have three or four cards in your hand.

If the players have a five and three as their first pair of cards they will have a total of eight. The Blackjack strategy chart will then tell the player to play a double on the eleven but the player can only call a double on his first two cards.

The player must then call a hit. Usually players encounter hard hands during the game. A hard hand is the first two cards that are given to the player without an ace card. If a player has an 8 card or less, always choose to hit. If he has a 9, he can then choose to double if the dealer has a three or six, he can choose to hit.

If he has a 10, he can double if the dealer has a two up to nine, he can choose to hit. If he has an eleven, he can then choose to double if the dealer has a two up through ten, he can choose to hit if the dealer has an ace card. If the dealer has a twelve, he can then choose to hit if the dealer has a two or three.

He can choose to stand if the dealer has a four up to six, he can choose to hit otherwise. If the player has a thirteen to sixteen, he can choose to stand if the dealer has a two to six, he can then choose hit otherwise. If he has a 17 up to 21, he can then stand. Players also encounter soft hands during blackjack.

A soft hand is when a player's starting card hand has an ace card. If the player has an ace two or an ace three, he can double if the dealer has a five or six, otherwise he can choose to hit. If he has an ace four or an ace five, he can then double of has a four or six, otherwise he can choose to hit. If he has an ace six, he can then double if the dealer has a three or six, otherwise he can choose to hit.

If he has an ace seven, he can choose to stand if the dealer has a two, seven or an eight, he can then double if he has three to six, otherwise he can choose to hit. If he has an ace eight or an ace nice, the player can stand. Players can also play pairs in Blackjack. If he has a pair of aces or an 8, he can split.
